Bookshelf project
This project has been worked by me and Heejo kim who is my classmate for 2011 IMM competition. We have thought that different methods how to deal with books in our daily life. As we know, books give us information and a lot of knowledge. However, we tend to use common way just putting books on a bookshelf. We found other approach which is using other way to put them. So, we selected two elements which are hanging and folding.
Let’s hang the information on the tree.
First method is hanging. This book shelf has two concepts in that it can be hung the information and knowledges on it. Also, it can be used as bookmarks when you stop reading a book. You can mark the page what you read.
Folding it.
Second method is folding. Folding concept is my favorite thing, because by folding something, it can create new-things. Using only one steel panel, it can be bookshelf. Generally each corner of room is not useful, most of us have not use its space. This book shelf will be installed on the corner of your room.
